Terry Gou, chairman of Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry), yesterday dismissed widespread rumors that his company will merge with Quanta Computer. Rumors have been circulating that Foxconn plans to acquire Quanta, with one recent report claiming that the acquisition could take place in early 2007.
