IPC to Deliver PCB Tutorial at SMT Nurnberg 2009
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 | IPC

IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces its European Representative Lars Wallin will present a tutorial in German at the System Integration in Micro Electronics Exhibition and Conference on May 7, 2009 in Nürnberg, Germany. Wallin will explain how IPC standards can be used to eliminate unnecessary and costly mistakes in printed board manufacturing.

Quality and reliability are a growing concern in electronics manufacturing, especially because of new processes being developed for lead-free technology. Wallin notes that IPC standards can help a company develop and implement a stronger quality program.

"Dramatic manufacturing changes in the last few years, mostly caused by the introduction of lead-free technology have brought reliability and quality to the forefront. In this tutorial, I will document how more than 50 standards support specific process steps in board manufacture," says Wallin. "In North America, IPC standards are well-established within the supply chain, but knowledge and use of the standards are still developing within Europe."

The entire presentation will be delivered in German. For more information on the tutorial, visit Tutorial 18 at www.smt-exhibition.com.
