Nu Horizons Electronics has been named one of China's Most Preferred 2009 Overseas Distributor designation by Electronics Supply & Manufacturing - China (ESMC) Magazine in its recent annual national wide components distributor survey. The award recognizes Nu Horizons' supply capabilities and strong reputation for providing customers in China with quality products during calendar year 2008. Nu Horizons also scored high in design support, competitive pricing and supply flexibility.

Conducted since 2001, ESMC's annual Components Distributor Survey is the most influential and authoritative look into China's electronics distribution. This year's survey gathered 1,200 qualified responses from 326 manufacturers, a majority of which are manufacturers of consumer electronics, home appliances and communications systems. It also represents a growth of 8% in response rate as compared to last year. About 56% of the respondents are senior managers from the sales and marketing functions, and 31% are President, VP and general management positions. The rest are from both purchasing and technical management.

All together, these manufacturers were jointly responsible for buying RMB 136 billion worth of electronics components last year, 54% of which were through distributors. Apart from analyzing the selection process and preference of manufacturers in China, the survey also serves as a reliable reference for electronic manufacturers to benchmark the performance of distributors and understand their actions and business strategies they are implementing and adjusting in view of the current and future trends.
