Foxconn Denies Kaohsiung Harbor Investment

Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has issued a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) commenting on recent reports stating that the company has backed out of promises to the Kaohsiung City government to establish a global shipping hub at Kaohsiung Harbor in the southern port city of Taiwan. Foxconn stated that the company never made any firm agreement to invest in Kaohsiung Harbor.
