Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Microtek Labs in Anaheim, California have signed a Preferred Partner Program (PPP) agreement for the ZPMV, ZPXK and ZPVI Printed Circuit Board categories.

According to Mike Shepherd, Microtek's President, "The services and technical test capabilities under the agreement include compliance evaluations to the following standards and the UL CCN's they support:" 

• UL 94, Test for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances;
• UL 796, Printed Wiring Boards; and
• UL796F, Flexible Materials Interconnect Constructions.

The scope of services provided by Microtek Labs under the agreement include:

• Customer acquisition and relationship management;
• Testing project management; and
• Test data package and engineering evaluation, per UL program rules.

Shepherd added, "We've been looking forward to signing this preferred partnership agreement with UL for some time now and having served as UL Client Agency Program Laboratory in good standing for years--the Preferred Partner Program represents a natural and welcome continuation of test capabilities and expertise to serve our industry."
