Korea PCB Targets 90-Layer Boards by 2011
PCB manufacturer Korea PCB aims to manufacture PCBs with up to 90 layers and panel sizes up to 27 x33 inches by 2011, as part of the company's Technical Road Map.

PCB manufacturer Gul Technologies Singapore Ltd. recently promoted Ong Ser Chin from Vice President, Finance, to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. In trading on Tuesday, PCB shares were relative laggards, down on the day by approximately 2.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Flextronics International Limited, off 4.7% and shares of Viasystems Group were lower as well.

Amphenol Reports Record Q2 Results
Amphenol Corporation reported today second quarter 2010 diluted earnings per share of $.74 compared to $.43 per share for the comparable 2009 period. Such per share amount for the 2010 quarter includes a $10 million, or $.06 per share, net benefit relating to a reduction in international tax expense due primarily to the favorable settlement of certain tax positions and the completion of prior year audits. Excluding this effect, diluted earnings per share was $.68. Sales for the second quarter 2010 were $885 million compared to $685 million for the 2009 period. Currency translation had the effect of decreasing sales by approximately .4% or $3 million in the second quarter 2010 compared to the 2009 period.

AT&S Reports Record Q1 Results; Revenue Up 37%
AT&S has begun its 2010/11 financial year with one of the best first quarter results in its history. The 14% increase in revenues meant not only a respectable pre-tax profit, but it was also substantially in excess both of AT&S forecasts and of market expectations. The EBIT margin also improved, and net debt was significantly reduced.
